On the 7th Feb we made a round trip to Southampton. This seemed like a good opportunity to try out the on-board camera in overcast weather conditions as I was still not sure where the photographic limitations lay.
Latest uploads from Portfield Roundabout include this well used Leyland DAF 65.210 vacumm tanker and a fairly new Renault C 380.26 vacuum tanker belonging to A1 Group (Wet Waste)
I spent an hour taking photos in sub-zeroish temperatures at the Portfield roundabout in Chichester yesterday. Clear skies and bright sunshine made for some very sharp photos of the passing traffic.
I have uploaded the first 30 starting at DNC04734, a Polish registered R400 Topline of A2B-Online Polska, and ending with a DAF LF dray of Marstons (DNC04768)
For cataloguing on our DotNet site I have uploaded a few more Boeing 707s from Brain Stainer’s “Aviation Photo News” catalogue and some more from Jack London’s collection.
A series of events following a brilliant family holiday in Mallorca ruled out blogging through November, December and most of this month.
The latest issue of PhotoNews is now available on our main web site. Both the air and road versions are a bit shorter than previously and close on the 9th of October to allow me time to get the photos out and go on holiday.
I have now uploaded the last of the current batch of Bill Bushell’s photos (Just over 1200) to the DotNet site. These include some superb shots taken at Gan in 1972 including three Shackletons of the, by then, disbanded 205 Squadron being ferried back to the UK complete with “White Knuckle Airlines” logos and other graphic embellishments.
Back in 2006 I was lucky enough to purchase Bill Bushell’s black and white negatives for the archive.
159 London buses taken in the 80s and 90s by Jack London and 100 1960s and 70s aircraft by Peter Bromley.
Also 500 odd new line entries uploaded to the main site; mainly aircraft and road transport but also some of the Woolwich Ferry and Docklands Light Railway.
